Here's a history lesson for all you hip-hop heads and so called goats.
If you don't know this artist and you call yourself a rapper I need you to slap yourself! Take your music off soundcloud and just stick to your day job. You don't deserve to hold the title "rapper" if you don't listen to or even know about De La Soul.
Okay .... Maybe i'm exaggerating , but really if you love rap as much as you say you do then you should be up on them.
De La Soul is a rap group composed of 3 seriously skilled MC's : Posdnusos, Dave, and Masoe. The group started in 1987, and released their first album 3 Feet High and Rising in 1989.

Look i'm not about to go into their history like that but for now just know they have countless albums and have inspired many artist from Kanye West to Outkast so yeah, they are pretty lit!
But let's talk about this new project The Anonymous Nobody
I LOVE THIS FREAKING ALBUM Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!
I have never heard rapping like this before. I've listened to Kendrick, Wayne, Busta but I've never heard rapping like this. It's poetic. They flow is smooth and easy; it doesn't try to hard. The bars fall off their tongues the way leaves fall off trees in the fall. Unlike most artist today De La has a presence that can only come with old school artist. Their music isn't repetitive, you can understand what they are saying, and they just rap like old school MC's do. That's what's so refreshing about this album. It's like they completely ignored what everyone else was doing and just made good music. They aren't doing this for money, fame or to be trendy. They already have and don't need those things and you can tell when you listen that they actually cared when they made this album.
Another thing about this album are the features. They go from neo-soul ( Jill Scott and Estelle) to Snoop (who honestly is on everyone's album) from Little Dragon, a Swedish electronic music band, to 2 chains?
Half way through the album sound kinda switches up with the song Lord Intended. It beautifully combines rap and some dope guitar and vocals by singer song-writer Justin Hawkins. We even get an almost alternative R&B sound on the track Greyhounds ft Usher.
One of my favorite tracks on the record titled Drawn ft Little Dragon is absolute
beauty. It combines the simple yet soulful vocals of Yukimi Nagano with an almost spacey beat that transitions into this light J Dilla type vibe as Posdnuos drops some serious bars.
Honestly y'all I could analyze every song on this album but instead i'm just going to say LISTEN TO THIS PROJECT!
